Paris 2024 Olympians Rajiah Sallsabillah and Amir Maimuratov climbed atop the Speed podiums at the NEOM IFSC Masters 2024.
The third and final day of action at the NEOM IFSC Masters 2024 brought some of the fastest climbers in the world on stage, and two nations stood up from the pack thanks to two Paris 2024 Olympians.
Indonesia won gold in the women’s Speed event with Rajiah Sallsabillah – fourth at the Paris Games – who stopped the clock at 7.13 seconds and prevailed over Poland’s Aleksandra Kalucka in a tight gold medal race. Indonesia’s second medal went to Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi, who won bronze against South Korea’s Jeong Jimin.

The race for gold in the men’s Speed event saw Kazak friends and teammates Amir Maimuratov and Rishat Khaibullin stumble along the route, with Maimuratov eventually finishing first with 6.87 seconds. Both Maimuratov and Khaibullin represented their country at the Olympic Games, with the former placing fifth in Paris, and the latter competing at Tokyo 2020 and closing 11th.
The men’s podium also featured Japan’s Yasukawa Jun, winner of the bronze medal race against Ukraine’s Kostiantin Pavlenko.
