IFSC Vice President Kobinata Toru, Sport Manager for Sport Climbing at the Tokyo Olympics, attended the inauguration of the park.

A three-hectare multi-purpose sports park was inaugurated in Tokyo, Japan, on 12 October, presenting the city with new facilities for basketball 3X3, skateboarding, and Sport Climbing.

The Livedoor Urban Sports Park is located in Ariake, only a few minutes east of Aomi – where Sport Climbing made its Olympic debut in August 2021.

Kobinata Toru, IFSC Vice President and Sport Manager for Sport Climbing at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, was one of the speakers at the ceremony. Standing alongside representatives of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Mr Kobinata was also one of the authorities who cut the ribbon and formally inaugurated the park.
