The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) and the Italian Federation (FASI) are delighted to announce that a third IFSC Paraclimbing World Cup will take place in Arco, Italy, on 27 and 28 September.
It will be the first event organised in the historical national training center of Team Italy following its renovation – underway since last year and expected to be ultimate this Summer. Following the modernisation, the venue will be able to welcome athletes and teams all year round, with a full set of indoor walls for Boulder, Lead, and Speed.
The Paraclimbing World Cup Arco 2024 will close the curtain on a Paraclimbing season that will also include World Cups in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, on 7 and 8 May; and Innsbruck, Austria, on 24 and 25 June; and pick up from a record-setting 2023, where the IFSC Paraclimbing World Championships in Bern, Switzerland, saw the participation of 202 athletes from 25 countries – the highest number ever.
Along with the first-ever Paraclimbing World Championships, Arco has been a stop of the IFSC World Cup Series for six seasons between 2012 and 2019, also hosting three Paraclimbing World Cups in 2012, 2013, and 2014; and two Youth World Championships in 2015 and 2019.
News and updates about all IFSC events will be available on the IFSC website, and on the Federation’s digital channels: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and exclusively for the Chinese audience, Douyin and Weibo.
