PARIS 2024 PREPARATION DOCUMENTED IN #CLIMBTOPARIS MINI-SERIES

IFSC showcases six different Olympic Games roles ahead of the summer spectacular.

The IFSC has released a mini-series of six short episodes focussed on Sport Climbing’s second appearance at the Olympic Games.

Filmed in and around Paris, the mini-series titled ‘#ClimbToParis’ looks at climbing from six different perspectives and is hosted by IFSC commentator Matt Groom and found on the IFSC YouTube channel.

Episode one features the French athlete Oriane Bertone who will be making her Olympic debut in Paris.

Episode two takes a look at the impact climbing has had and will have on the French capital in the future.

Episode three looks at the important role of routesetting through the eyes of Paris local and IFSC routesetter Maragda Gabarre.

Official IFSC photographer Jan Virt talks through a different role at the Olympic Games in episode four as someone who shows the world the sport through his lens but is often not seen himself.

A visit to Paris 2024 HQ features in episode four as we meet the people behind the organisation of climbing and the Olympic Games.

In the final episode, number six, IFSC President Marco Scolaris looks back on the journey to the Games and what a potential future could look like after the sport’s second appearance.
