The IFSC has opened application for the upcoming version of the Catalogue of Holds, Macros, and Volumes, which will be used in 2025 and 2026.

Following its launch in 2019, the catalogue has contributed to the significant improvement of IFSC events wordlwide, and the IFSC itself has constantly worked to improve and refine the benefits and conditions associated with the catalogue.

Starting in 2025, the distinction between holds, macros, and volumes categories will be removed from the catalogue to facilitate the relationship between IFSC, manufacturers, and Local Organising Committees. Brands will be divided into three tiers – Premium, Gold, and Silver – reflecting the state of the industry and the different support given to IFSC events.

The selection process will be coordinated by the IFSC Sport Department in close collaboration with a group of international routesetters. The criteria that will be used to assign each brand to a specific tier are as follows:

• Quality of the products
• Uniqueness of shapes and innovation
• Suitability to the highest level of competition
• Previous experience at competitions and widespread presence
• Distribution channels
• Brand identity and communication

The deadline to submit applications is set on 11 October.
