IFSC WORLD CUP BRIANÇON 2024: FACTS AND STATS

The sixth World Cup event of the year featuring the Lead and Speed disciplines.

Briançon 2024 will be 400th Climbing World Cup event in the history of the Federation – including both UIAA and IFSC – the 67th organised in France, 14th in Briançon.
 
The event will include the 228th pair of Lead World Cup competitions, and the 138th pair of Speed.
 
In total, 240 climbers – 127 male and 113 female – are registered to participate, representing 36 countries and territories, and five continents, and competing in four medal events: women’s Lead, women’s Speed, men’s Lead, and men’s Speed.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

Jain Kim (KOR) attends her 102nd Lead World Cup - fourth on the female lead all time list, and her 146th World Cup competition across all disciplines - fifth on the female all time list.

Hélène Janicot (FRA) attends her 71st Lead World Cup - equal ninth on the female Lead all time list - and takes the French national record for appearances from Caroline Ciavaldini

Stefano Ghisolfi (ITA) attends his 82nd Lead World Cup

In men’s Speed Ludovico Fossali (ITA) is the most experienced making his 47th Speed World Cup closely followed by Guillome Moro (FRA) making his 46th Speed World Cup
