Curtains closed on the NEOM Beach Games 2023, as the NEOM IFSC Masters awarded its final medals in the women’s and men’s Speed events.
Indonesia’s Rajiah Sallsabillah led an all-Indonesian podium in the women’s event, prevailing over Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi in the gold medal race with a new personal best – 6.72 seconds, against her rival’s 6.88.
The bronze medal went to Narda Mutia Amanda, faster than Poland’s Natalia Kalucka in the duel that decided the bronze medal winner. The 20-year-old from Yogyakarta hit the finish pad at the 6.91-second mark, while Kalucka finished with 7.23.

In the men’s Speed event, current world record holder Veddriq Leonardo of Indonesia signed the two fastest times of the final in his last two races – 5.06 in his semi-final against Kazakhstan’s Amir Maimuratov, and 5.07 in the gold medal race against Ukraine’s Yaroslav Tkach, who settled for silver with 5.34.
In the bronze medal race, Indonesia’s Rahmad Adi Mulyono beat Maimuratov and placed third with 5.43.

The NEOM IFSC Masters was the first Climbing event to be included in the programme of the NEOM Beach Games, featuring competitions in Boulder and Speed, with the participation of 60 athletes from 16 countries.
