The World Games Chengdu 2025
The 12th edition of The World Games is expected to take place in the Chinese city of Chengdu, capital city of the province of Sichuan, from 7 to 17 August 2025. Thirty-five sports are going to be part of the programme of Chengdu 2025, with Climbing being featured for the sixth consecutive edition of the multi-sport event.
EVENTS
Differently from all previous Climbing appearances at The World Games, Chengdu 2025 will only feature events in the Speed discipline – two individual ones and one relay.
On top of the typical two-lane formate, Speed 4 will make its official debut ten months after being tested in Madrid, Spain. After being featured at the two latest editions of the Asian Games, Speed Relay will also be included in the programme.

QUALIFIED NATIONS
A total of 11 nations have qualified to compete at Chengdu 2025 – nine in women's events, and nine in men's ones.
The list of athletes competing for each team will be made official at a later stage in 2025.

The Venue
Speed Climbing competitions at The World Games Chengdu 2025 will take place at Tianfu Park, a urban part in the Jinniu District, northwest of central Chengdu.
The park covers an area of 3,033 acres, 200 of which are covered by the main lake in the park – the Yinggui Lake. The park also features two more lakes, two museums, and the Tianfu Humanities and Art Library.
